After leaving school I attended Cleveland College of Art & Design (now known as The Northern School of Art) where I completed a BTEC National Diploma in General Art & Design, specialising in Textiles in my 2nd year. I then went on to do a BA(Hons) Degree at Chelsea School of Art, specialising in printed Textiles.
With a passion for felting and stitching I experiment with different fibres, colours and textures in which I expose unique images of mostly landscape surroundings with painterly 3D quality. Making good some of my industrial surroundings on Teesside, by turning such scenes as the steel works, bridges and East coast piers and beaches, and not forgetting traditional floral into desired fibre paintings.
My studio is based at Riverside House in Middlesbrough. This is where I conduct my workshops and prepare my work for events & Galleries, such as The Biscuit Factory, Number Four Gallery, RHS Harlow Carr Bath House, Palace Arts to name a few.
I shall be returning to Woolfest for my 4th Year. One of my favourite events.
